gala-来自北京的神奇遭怪英式乐队
上个月末貌似来西安了，就在月亮钥匙酒吧，如果留意学校广告栏的话应该就知道了。
这个名字让我想起大2某音乐狂人，主唱唱腔奇异，中国式英语发音十分遭怪，不过第一首还是值得一听。

Gala，一支北京英式乐队，由苏朵（主唱）、王子（吉他）、木木（贝司）叁个80年代生人组成，成立于2004年1月2日，从磨合到《Young For You》的录制完毕仅用半年时间。

Gala录这张唱片的时候没有鼓手，是只有主唱、吉他手、贝司手的乐队，我们在唱片中所听到的鼓是由吉他手和贝司手两个二把刀鼓手兼任所打，打得并不稳，但走向抓得很稳，如果能有一个训练有素的鼓手，他们的想法一定会实现得更到位。而换用DIY的标准界定，这张唱片对于他们已经是一个很好的开始了，既不乏大量出色的旋律，也不乏恰如其分的野心，有没有鼓手不是问题，重要的是一张唱片可以体现多少想法？表现多少驾御音乐的能力和素质？毕竟我们鼓励DIY唱片并不代表我们就鼓励所有想做音乐的人都凭着一腔热情去玩音乐，从而滥化了整个环境，做音乐的人和想做音乐的人之间还是有很大的区别的，而《Young For You》，无论是聪明顽劣的旋律，还是毛手毛脚的鼓点，相信它都属于值得期待和鼓励的前者。开玩笑地想：甚至认为他们在拥有了技术全面的鼓手以后，也该时不时地尝试一下现在这种毛手毛脚的风格——不失技术含金量的毛手毛脚。

在这张专辑里，一开始让我们觉得意外的就是这是一个没有鼓手的乐队，鼓的部分是由吉他手和贝司手完成的，这样一来显得有点毛糙。但是当旋律一起来的时候，听者就不会过分在意这毛手毛脚的鼓点了，正因为Gala有那样清亮的旋律，而主唱苏朵的声音又是那样的怪异和舒坦。甚至他的不标准的英文发音也成为了最最吸引人的部分。整张专辑里，他们有自己明显的风格：轻松和忧郁，像是青春期的标志一般。而Gala又恰倒好处地用了对比鲜明的几种风格表示，比如英伦，再比如流行朋克。有些曲子是那样的随意欢快，在背后却有淡淡的忧伤。
最先冲进我耳朵的，用毫无防备的嗓音打击心扉的是《Young For You》，主唱苏朵大着舌头的英语让人觉得快乐。他们自然，毫不掩饰。那么一段时间里，我一次次让播放器停留在这首有着简单旋律却让人感觉无限美好的歌曲上，我真想放开身子去奔跑，去迎接大海和阳光。"but Iknow the sun will shine for us"是那么明朗的一句话，更让人想在夏天里行走，尽情地去享受。接着我的耳朵又跳到了《IntroThe Band Is So Cool》上，这个2分27秒的曲子大部分的时间由和弦组成，吉他的发挥是出色的，让人们见识到没有主唱的时间里他们也能做到很棒，他们也证明了自己很棒。不是吗，难道你没听到那唯一的一句歌词吗--Hello loser，the band is so cool。
《M Murderer》中，有苏朵和王子的合唱，像是对命运的叫嚣，掀起了一拨又一拨的热浪，灼烧着时间，是那样的滚烫。
在《Monkey Staion》里，Gala继续着自己搞怪的一面，就像是活蹦乱跳一样地调皮，大大咧咧的声音在空气里爆炸了，让人感到张狂的青春。他们在结尾这样地唱：rule a man as you give a stroke，rule a lady as you send a rose。充满了孩童般的调皮。而在唯一的中文歌
《The Blue Elephants》，即使歌词里说出"我是忧郁的废物，生活在离奇的国度"这样离奇的句子，但是从那样有弹性的节奏里，可以感受到他们不沉溺在忧伤里，积极向上的一面。
转而在《Tennessee》里。我们得以见到Gala隐藏的深情的一面。他们这样地诉说：紧紧地抱住我，一切都好，无论怎样，你是我的海洋。这样舒缓的声音，是躁热的水面上凉爽的风。无独有偶的是，在《Cheeze》里，我们又一次听到Gala这样的歌唱，在一次次真假声的转换中，像是在电梯的上下中带来的不安。
《Kaleidoscope》里缓慢的吉他，主唱低沉的声音，都把我们带入一次缓慢的行走里。我们用从未有过的目光打量了这个丑陋的世界，最后得出一个答案--生活就是万花筒。于是，我们继续行走，去挖掘掩埋的美丽。
